Standard Home Inspection

A standard home inspection includes a visual, non-invasive examination of a home’s structure, systems and components—both inside and outside the home. It is conducted in accordance with guidelines set forth in the Standards of Practice of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI). A thorough inspection of your home includes the following:

  • Roof
  • Attic, Ventilation & Insulation
  • Structural Components
  • Basement/Crawlspace
  • Foundation
  • Electrical System
  • Plumbing System
  • HVAC System
  • Attached Garage
  • Porch & Deck
  • Fireplace
  • Interior including: Doors, Windows, Built-In Appliances, Ceilings, Floors & Walls
  • Exterior including: Grounds, Driveway/walkways, Gutters & Downspouts, Cladding, Eaves, Soffit & Fascia.

I encourage you to attend your inspection so that I can describe my process, explain my findings, point out important maintenance items, and answer all of your questions.

Following my inspection, I will compile my findings in an easy-to-read report, which will include detailed descriptions and quality photos of any issues discovered. The report will be emailed to you promptly, and my job isn’t finished until you understand everything in it.
